Here we go. This website is up and running on the proper domain. And I have managed to find a platform for publishing the chapters and stuff.
So, you can actually now head over to Ream Stories to read. Below is a short sample.
Chapter 1
Alex Jonzon woke up with a smile on his face. It was the morning after graduation. After three years, he had finally finished high school and was ready to go out into the world. Many of his classmates were nervously awaiting their college acceptance letters. But not Alex. He was ready for the adventure of his life: the Floorball World Tour.
Together with his teammates, in a few weeks he would be travelling to play in the first tournament of the global professional floorball tour. They had been talking about it all season.
But there were some concerns. At the graduation party, Theo had told them that his dad had arranged a summer job that he was unable to turn down, so he wanted to wait until the autumn before going.
And Wilma, Isaks girlfriend, had been furious when she realised that he was about to go on a round-the-world trip without her. Alex understood that Isak wanted to drop out.
So Alex had sent out a message in the team’s group chat and invited everyone to a meeting. They needed to know how many players actually intended to go. They could make do with 12 players in the worst case scenario. Otherwise, they would have to recruit more players. He was not too worried. Felix had talked about how his older brother and his mate might want to come along. They had played in FC Helsingborg’s junior team a few years ago.
It was almost exactly one year since Gabriel had brought up the idea when they got together to start summer training for what would be their last year as juniors. Everyone except Edvin and Sebastian who had one more year left as juniors.
Gabriel had shared the story that they all were familiar with. Everyone in the world who knew anything about floorball had heard the story of how a group of junior players from the small club Tågaborg enrolled a team in the Floorball World Tour. Ten years later, Helsingborg Consuls was the best club team in the world.
”What if we could have the same journey as Consuls? Wouldn’t that be cool? I suggest that we start saving money and next summer, after we all graduate, we’ll go. It will be tough, but if we manage to qualify for a tournament, the prize money is huge. Much more money than when Charlie Modin and the others started,” said Gabriel.
Alex had loved the idea as soon as he heard it. Every young player dreamt of becoming a professional floorball player and playing on the Floorball World Tour. He was not alone. The whole team wanted to go. At summer training, they had voted on a name for the team: Helsingborg Kings.
